The FC 27 Web App: sign in, trade and run your club
The Web App and Companion App put your Ultimate Team club in a browser and on your phone. Here's when EA usually opens them, how to sign in, what works there and what to try when the login doesn't.
What the Web App and Companion App are
The FC 27 Web App is a browser version of Ultimate Team. You open it on a laptop, desktop or phone browser, sign in with your EA Account and see the same club you play with on your console or PC: the same squad, the same coins, the same transfer list.
The Companion App is the phone version of the same thing, installed from the App Store or Google Play. Both apps talk to one club, so a card you buy in the browser is waiting for you when you switch the console on, and anything you change on your phone shows up in the game.
Neither app plays matches. They exist for everything around the football: trading, squad building, challenges and rewards. For many players it's where most of the club management happens.
When EA usually opens the Web App
EA doesn't wait for the full launch. In past seasons the Web App has gone live a few days to a week before early access to the new game, with the Companion App arriving at about the same time or shortly after. EA announces the exact day and time on its own channels, usually only a short while beforehand.
For FC 27 that window has already passed: the season is running and both apps are live. If you're reading this ahead of a future season, expect the same pattern, but treat any date you see online as a guess until EA confirms it.
Early access to the Web App has usually come with a condition: a club from the previous season on the same EA Account. Players starting fresh generally had to launch the game and create their club there first. That can change from year to year.
How to log in
- Open the app. In a browser, go to the Web App from EA's official EA SPORTS FC site. On a phone, use EA's app from the App Store or Google Play instead.
- Sign in with the right EA Account. Use the email linked to the console or PC account you play on. If your PlayStation, Xbox or Steam login is tied to a different EA email, the app won't find your club.
- Enter the security code. EA asks for a verification code by email, text or authenticator app, depending on how your account is set up. Keep backup codes somewhere safe for the day the code doesn't arrive.
- Pick your platform. If the account has clubs on more than one platform, choose the one you want to manage. PS5 and PS4 share one club, as do Series X|S and Xbox One.
- Set up the club if asked. On your first visit of the season you may need to confirm your club name and a few basic choices. After that you go straight to the home screen.
One thing catches everyone out sooner or later: Ultimate Team allows one active session per club. Signing in to the Web App while you're in Ultimate Team on the console logs one of them out, and the phone app behaves the same way.
What you can do there
Once you're in, the Web App covers almost everything except the matches themselves.
- Trade. Search the market, bid, buy outright, list cards and follow the ones on your watch list. For most people this is the main reason to open the app.
- Build squads. Change your active squad, try another formation and check chemistry before your next match.
- Complete Squad Building Challenges. SBCs work the same as in the game, including the time-limited ones that arrive with each promo.
- Track objectives. See your progress and claim the rewards you've earned in the game.
- Open packs. Buy packs from the store with coins or FC Points and open the ones waiting in your club.
What you can't do is play. Rivals, Squad Battles, Champions and every other mode stay on the console or PC, and so do the objectives that ask for goals, wins or minutes on the pitch.
Transfer market access in the apps
Having the Web App doesn't mean you can trade in it. New accounts, and accounts EA doesn't yet see as established, often find the Transfers tab greyed out in the Web App and Companion App while the in-game market works, or closed everywhere until some starter objectives are done.
EA doesn't publish a fixed formula, but playing the game, finishing the early objectives and giving the account a little time usually sorts it out. If yours is still shut, our guide on how to unlock the market goes through the steps and the usual reasons it stays locked.
Common login problems
Most failed Web App sign-ins come down to a handful of causes. Work through these before you contact anyone.
- The app can't find your club. You've signed in with an EA Account that has no FC 27 club on that platform, or you haven't created one yet. Check which email your console or PC account is linked to.
- You're logged out straight away. Ultimate Team is open somewhere else: on the console, on your phone or in another browser tab. Close the other session and try again.
- The verification code never arrives. Check your spam folder and make sure the email address or phone number on the EA Account is current. A backup code gets you in without waiting.
- Endless loading or a blank screen. Clear the browser cache, switch off extensions that block scripts, or try another browser. On a phone, update the app.
- Servers are busy. The first days of a season and big promo releases bring queues and short outages. Waiting a while usually works better than refreshing every minute.
- Access is paused after repeated attempts. Too many failed logins or unusual activity can make EA pause access for a time. If it doesn't clear up, contact EA Help, as only EA can lift account restrictions.
Getting FC 27 coins into your club
The apps matter if you buy FUT coins, too. With Comfort Trade, our delivery team signs in to your club through the Web App, moves the coins and signs out, which is why you stay logged out of the game and both apps until the order is done. With Player Auction you list a card yourself, and the Web App or Companion App is the quickest place to do it.
Either way, the market has to be open on your club before you buy FC 27 coins, since every transfer goes through it. When it is, pick your platform and amount in the order form: anything from 100K to 20M. Not sure which delivery method to choose? Compare the two first.
Trading in the app? Top up your club
Choose a platform and amount, pick how the coins arrive, and the order is usually done in 10–45 minutes.
